Reopening Our Beloved Community Kitchen

The Community Kitchen and dining hall have long been cherished gathering places in our town. After reinstating the Community Centre this year, the new Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the reopening of the kitchen—now with modern facilities designed to meet today’s health, safety, and food care standards.

A Fresh Start After 12 Years The former kitchen has been unused for over a decade, and we are now raising funds to transform it into a vibrant, energy‑efficient space equipped with sustainable lighting and appliances.

Farm‑to‑Table Community Garden Our kitchen will be complemented by a community garden, providing fresh vegetables, milk, and meat to ensure wholesome meals prepared right here at home.

Led by Renowned Chef Mark Allen Meals will be crafted by Mr. Mark Allen, a celebrated chef who has led kitchens at Bambinos, Elm Tree, and other renowned restaurants. Today, he proudly volunteers his expertise as our Community Centre President.

A Hub for Connection and Celebration With no grocery store within a 15 km radius, the Community Kitchen will be a welcome opportunity to share meals, laughter, and fellowship. From regular community events to private celebrations—birthdays, anniversaries, and more—we’ll provide delicious food at fair prices in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Supporting Families and Guests Future lodging facilities and the proposed kindergarten will also benefit from the kitchen, ensuring nutritious meals for all who stay, learn, and grow here.

Join Us in Shaping the Future We warmly invite well‑wishers and community members to share ideas and support the development of your kitchen. Together, we can create a space that nourishes both body and spirit.
