The Community Garden of the Maccan Community Center Society will serve as the primary source and supply chain for fresh vegetables, fruits, and meat for the Community Kitchen.
-
- 🥕 Affordable Produce: Any surplus harvest will be sold to members at a welfare-friendly price through the Garden Stall.
- 🌿 Organic Farming: All produce will be grown organically, while incorporating modern technology to maximize the efficiency of the suggested 60-perchase space.
- 🐄 Animal Husbandry: Plans include raising four cows, six goats, and chickens (both for meat and eggs).
- 🍅 Hydroponic Innovation: A 24/365 automated hydroponic vegetable gardening system will be introduced as a pilot project, ensuring year-round harvests.
- 📚 Educational Hub: The model farm will act as a practical study center for school students studying agriculture and for community volunteers interested in starting their own gardens.
- 💡 Future Expansion: Several members have already pledged investments in animal husbandry. We are now seeking additional support to establish two ultramodern automated hydroponic centers (40×8), enabling daily harvests of fresh green vegetables throughout the year.
